Spring Break 2010

The kids have had the most fun this week just "hanging out" with the other kids from the apartment complex.   We went and saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks" at the dollar theater and went to Chuck E. Cheese another day.  We got a bike rack for the back of the van and we have enjoyed riding bikes at some of the new parks we have found.   The weather this week has been perfect and it has been nice just to be able to go outside.  Last night it started to snow and has snowed and blowed all day long (today is Saturday).   Next week the weather is forecasted to be bad so thank goodness the kids are back in school Monday.  This apartment seems to get smaller as the kids get louder.

We went to a Japanese Steakhouse for my birthday today and the kids had fun watching them cook our food.  Joey told the cook he was a "good egg spinner".  We then went out for ice cream and are now back at home snuggling around the fire getting ready to watch the "Wizard of Oz".

I hope all is well in your homes and we will blog again soon.

  1. It sounds like you guys are doing good. What fun to be enjoying the warmer days.

Was the movie a good one for my young kids to see? We are always looking for a good recommendation.

We like to take the kids out on the bikes also. David has a bike trailer fit for two. Since Zachary and Macey are older they didn't want to ride, but Joshua was all about it on the ONE nice day we've had. David left the plastic up that covers the front and Joshua got sprayed with mud! David was riding like a crazy man through the wet spots where the snow is still melting. Funny enough, Joshua didn't seem to mind being splattered with mud. He was just having a good time with the fam!

We love your pictures and especially like "your" frog. Thanks for sharing your blog.

  3. Hi Julie! Your mom told me that you had a blog. I am so glad that I found it! Sounds like you are all doing pretty good. It is tough being away from family. But it is fun having new parks and places to explore. I have a private blog but would love to send you an invite, just email me at jc.crazydays@gmail.com. I am looking forward to keeping up with you all. Take care!

Jen (your long lost cousin from Idaho, just in case you didn't know) :)
